On behalf of everyone at Team Maelove, I extend our heartfelt thanks for your love and support throughout 2023. I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on the past year's highlights and give you a sneak peek at what to expect from us in 2024.
The Fade Away Brightening Serum was awarded The Everygirl's 2023 Beauty Award for the best serum for hyperpigmentation. Personally, this product holds a special place in my heart as it addresses my skincare struggles with hyperpigmentation and postpartum melasma.
Speaking of postpartum melasma, my daughter Beverly just turned 6 months! I can’t believe that this exact time last year I was pregnant. I remember having mixed feelings of excitement and anxiety in the beginning as I was worried about whether it would be a viable pregnancy. Beverly’s birth has not only reshaped my outlook on life and Maelove, but my approach to my own skincare routine.
During my pregnancy journey, I realized that less is more. To be frank, there were some days (ok, a lot of days if you add them up) where I used just a cleanser and moisturizer. I didn’t care about all the dark spots and melasma that was becoming very visible on my face (and this is on top of all the hyperpigmentation that I dealt with ever since I can remember).
Now, as I navigate motherhood, I’ve become more intentional about the products I use, especially as I approach 40 soon. Beverly’s arrival has also reshaped my vision for Maelove. It’s no longer about setting yearly goals or thinking 5 or 10 years ahead. I aspire Maelove to be a timeless brand, one that my daughter, and her children, will enjoy and cherish. We have never been and will never be a fast beauty brand.

Behind the scenes, we have spent years obsessing over crafting of the Peptide Squad Collagen Renewal Serum. This journey has been one of challenges, discoveries, and innovations.
I was determined not to create just another peptide product, as the market already offers plenty. My goal was to develop the ultimate peptide serum.
Once we identified 4 classes of peptides that combat wrinkles from different angles, we decided to combine all four into one serum that tackles the problem of lines and wrinkles from multiple angles by creating synergies that lead to the best results.

This past year, we explored long-form video content, covering topics you were eager to learn more about. These included whether you can use vitamin C and niacinamide together, the various types of retinoids and their benefits, and broader health and wellness topics.
As I hosted events with dermatologists at Stanford, Brown, USC, and other institutions, I learned that dermatologists value our in-depth guide newsletters for educating their patients, and they also requested more content.
Many of you appreciated this content but expressed a desire for more concise formats. In 2024, we'll provide bite-sized video content for consumers, along with written newsletters that deeply explore the science for medical professionals.
The most common question our Customer Happiness Team receives is, "I use and love The Glow Maker; what product do you recommend I try next?"

Consistency is key when it comes to skincare, and because I know this all too well, I make sure that each product we formulate has the perfect texture and feels great to use so that you’ll be wanting to use it everyday.
